Where to go when you can’t go anywhere

This morning I woke up and what I usually do first every day is to write in my Five-Minute Journal. On today’s page was a quote written by Carl Gustav Jung that made me think about everything that is happening right now.

Because here we are, in some sort of self isolation. We are all facing a situation we’ve never had before in history. All of us had plans or at least a picture of how the next couple of weeks are going to look like. And suddenly everything changed. How about our jobs? How about our holidays? How about seeing our grandparents? Quarantine and isolation are a new kind of challenge that most of us have never experienced before. Where can we go when we are simply not allowed to go anywhere?

What helped me the most personally was to accept this situation. We are all in this together. Remember, the universe is never working against you – only for you. Accept the current situation, you can’t change it anyway. And then let’s just make the best of it. It’s difficult to predict the future but you can work with what you have now. When you can’t go outside, go inside.

“Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”
C. G. Jung

Maybe this is our Awakening. Maybe Mother Earth wants to teach us something very important:

to love ourselves, to work on ourselves, to rethink certain things that we thought we were doing right. Maybe she wants us to learn, to teach, to be more conscious, to solve new kinds of problems – together, even though we are physically apart. Maybe we can go back to our roots, our homes, our families. And notice what really matters in life. Leave old patterns behind and create a new world where we all support each other and grow together. A world built on a fundament of love, trust and honesty.

“You are what you do, not what you say you’ll do.”
C. G. Jung

Let’s try to become better than we used to be. There is so much more potential in each of us, we just never took time to learn about it. But I think we now have plenty of time and most importantly, we have each other

Sit down at your favourite place at home. Light some candles, scented sticks, make a cup of tea, enjoy the sunlight in your face, be comfortable, do whatever makes you feel grounded. And then have a look inside you. There might be shadows you have to face. We all have them. Feel your breath, your body, your emotions. Feel all of them, let them flow. They want to be felt. Cry, smile, move your body, just follow the vibrations running through you. Remember it’s okay to be scared, it’s okay to worry, it’s okay to be angry. But what will really free your soul is, if you let go of those feelings. Let go of all the negativity. Simply stop holding on to it, realise that these feelings will only dim your light.

Feel your emotions, but also guide them.

And now open yourself for everything that is making you feel light hearted. You are healthy. Your family is healthy. You are exactly where you are meant to be. Everything that is happening right now was supposed to happen. And we have so much power because it is in our hands to choose what we make of the time that is given to us. I choose to make the best of it, to transform all this energy into something good. Let‘s shine together.

“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.”
C. G. Jung

There is no need of being scared, because you are protected. You are safe. You will always find the good and the bad in everything. But let’s focus on the good. If all of us send out positive energy and visualise a future where we become more united again, where we help each other and look after Mother Earth – guess what will happen then? Exaclty what you imagine. Because that is where your focus lies on.

Send out the vibrations that match with your desires and beliefs and it can’t be other way.

Let’s do all the things we used to find excuses for and create together. Let’s make space for transformation to occur. Let’s unbecome what we are to embrace our true self.

“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.”
C. G. Jung

We might be isolated, but we are not alone. Especially in times like these you are able to see the interconnectedness of all life; outside your window but also within you. We are all in this together, we are one and we have so much strength together in unity.
